Following the success of our inaugural gala, this evening promises to be a meaningful gathering focused on connection, celebration, and inspiration. The gala will bring together professionals, students, community leaders, and supporters to celebrate excellence within our community while strengthening the relationships that define MMPA’s mission.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Nazir Khan

We are proud to welcome Dr. Nazir Khan as our keynote speaker for the evening.

Dr. Khan is a Canadian-trained medical doctor, neuroradiologist, and Associate Professor at McMaster University. Alongside his medical career, he is an Islamic theologian and specialist in Qur’anic sciences, with extensive academic training that bridges faith, reason, and modern scholarship. He currently works with the Yaqeen Institute, where he recently published The Straight Path, a book exploring how Surah Al Fatiha addresses modern ideologies.

Dr. Khan also shares a meaningful connection with our local community. As a former resident of Winnipeg, he regularly delivered Friday khutbahs, facilitated halaqa groups, and was an active and respected member of the medical community. His presence as our keynote speaker makes this evening especially significant, and his voice uniquely reflects the intersection of science, spirituality, and community leadership.
