MMPA’s Mentorship Program is off to an exciting start!
The MMPA Mentorship Program, launched in October 2024, connects Muslim professionals across medical education and career stages. Led by Dr. Osama Jarkas and Dr. Oussama Outbih, the program has grown from a small mentorship dinner to a network of over 40 participants, including undergraduates, medical students, residents, and physicians.
In 2025, MMPA hosted a Zoom session for 26 Muslim students preparing for University of Manitoba Medical School interviews, followed by mock interview sessions led by medical professionals. Looking ahead, the program aims to create mentorship families and expand into other professional fields, fostering inclusive, empowering support networks.
Stay tuned as MMPA continues to grow this transformative initiative!
